About Eric D. LaMotte
Dr. LaMotte is a board-certified internist working as a hospital-based physician at UWMC, with a title of clinical instructor in the Division of General Internal Medicine. He feels privileged to work with hospitalized patients, who are often experiencing a critical and stressful event in their lives, and facing important decisions about their medical care. He is a medical educator with an interest in both undergraduate and graduate medical education. Teaching interests include diagnostic reasoning and the use of technology in education.
Dr. LaMotte earned his BA at Wesleyan University (with a dual major in Neuroscience & Behavior and the Science in Society Program) and MD at UC San Francisco. He completed his internal medicine residency at UW Medicine.
Personal Interests
Outside of the hospital, Dr. LaMotte enjoys powerlifting, sailing, and reading non-fiction.
