About Kerstin Lara Edlefsen
Kerstin Edlefsen, M.D., is a board certified hematopathologist at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center and a UW assistant professor of Laboratory Medicine.
Dr. Edlefsen enjoys bringing diverse diagnostic modalities to the diagnosis and monitoring of leukemia and lymphoma, as well as collaborating with clinical colleagues to provide state-of-the-art cancer care. Teaching hematopathology to trainees at all levels is also an important part of her practice. A Seattle native, Dr. Edlefsen earned her M.D. from the UW.
Dr. Edlefsen is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology with sub-specialty board certification in Hematopathology. Dr. Edlefsen’s research focuses on the early development of mature B cell neoplasms, particularly as it relates to aging.
Personal Interests
In her free time Dr. Edlefsen enjoys gardening, cooking, traveling and spending time with family.
