This was a great experience. In the past providers have really resisted ordering tests when I had issues that warranted testing for me, but Linda was extremely receptive to my explanation of the pain I'm going through and listened to me attentively. She was very thorough with her exam and I left feeling so much relief that someone is actually taking care of me versus me just trying the same things over again (which has happened in the past).

While the provider addressed all of my concerns. Her demeanor and some of the things she said however left me feeling so small. At one point I felt like I was being lectured, and being told "you are a big girl, you can choose to listen or not, you can do what you want". I am a [...] year old woman and a mother. At the end of the visit, she made a comment regarding my request to see a specialist by saying that I can start by contacting them and increase my visits to weekly if I want while making a "yikes" facial expression as if to say "careful what you wish for". I left that room feeling as if I had done something wrong for wanting to seek care because my concerns aren't real concerns. I've been a patient at the UW for 20 years and I have never left an office feeling so mistreated. This provider may be adequate In her medical knowledge, but in my opinion lack compassion and insensitive. As a patient, you are automatically in a vulnerable position, last thing you need is a medical provider who can make a huge impact on your life/health making you feel so small.

She was super kind and listened to me. And she helped me get an [...] appointment for the same week! I'm very grateful.
