About Masumi Ueda

Masumi Ueda, M.D., M.A., is a board certified physician at UW Medical Center and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, an assistant member in the Clinical Research Division of Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and a UW assistant professor of Oncology.

Dr. Ueda specializes in blood and marrow transplantation. She believes that treatment should be individualized, not only on a molecular or scientific level, but also catered to each patient's unique situation, beliefs, and life experiences. She strives to get to know patients and guide them in understanding their disease and treatment as much as possible.

Dr. Ueda earned her M.D. and M.A. at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. She is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Hematology. Her clinical and research interests include blood and marrow transplantation, acute myeloid leukemia, myelodysplastic syndrome and graft-vs-host disease.

Personal Interests

In her free time Dr. Ueda enjoys tennis, running, hiking, skiing, painting and classical music.
