About Maya Narayanan
Maya Narayanan, M.D., M.P.H., is a board certified physician at UW Medical Center and a UW assistant professor of General Internal Medicine.
Dr. Narayanan sees patients admitted to UWMC as well as seeing patients in clinic prior to surgery for medical management. She enjoys working with a variety of different patients. She likes to get to know them for who they are as a person so she can communicate better and foster better understanding of their medical illness. She strives to be an excellent physician by being patient, compassionate and honest.
Dr. Narayanan earned her M.D. and M.P.H. from Tufts University. She is a member of the Society of Hospital Medicine. Her clinical and research interests include palliative care, perioperative medical management, hospital quality improvement, patient safety and medical student education.
Personal Interests
In her free time Dr. Narayanan enjoyst running, hiking, yoga and traveling.
